not what it used to be
i booked for the boat show as it has shuttle access to the show. no drinks at revolving roof top bar...closed i was told 4 years ago. there was a small frig just standing on the floor in our room with nothing in it. the water in florida is dreadful to drink, however still charged $5 per bottle only the first night not replaced until we ordered more from room service...at a charge of course. no hairdressing available for my wife as the spa was too busy...2 receptionists only 1 hairdresser/manicurist assistant unavalable on the 3 different occasions we tried booking. no mini-bar -- when i complained they sent another empty frig to replace the smaller one we had switched off as it made so much noise--this time there was some dry fruit on the top as an appeasement, i suppose. this was left for 4 days without being cleared away. the toilet did not work unless you took the lid off and pulled the chain by hand. we caught sight of a maintenance man who fixed it. surprisingly it was not noticed/ reported by the cleaners. it broke again at the first use and remained unfixed till the end of our stay. we were a couple staying in the hotel, however there was only ever 1 shampoo left per day. 1 day our room was not cleaned at all. this hotel would not rate more than 2 stars from my experience. next boat show i will stay somewhere else. some nice staff, particularly the lady who runs the shop. they are let down by the management......

Wonderful vacation!
This was our 2nd stay here. We were just as happy this time. Always greeted at the door. We got an upgrade to the 12th floor with the best view! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel! Stay here you will not be disapointed!

Impressed
I was impressed with the quality and service of the hotel. I was upgraded to a tower ocean view room and everything about the hotel was excellent. The room, food and personnel were all excellent. This will be my hotel for future trips to Ft Lauderdale.

Take the water taxi. Great views and stops. Well worth the $13 all day fare.
