Great hotel under righ circumstances

This is a great hotel if you do not need to hear a wake-up call and can wear ear plugs. The partying on the streets and alleys outside is very loud, as expected. So, if you want to use this hotel when you can use ear plugs, great. But do not use it on the morning you leave for the airport.

Watch out!

The hotel was in a great area of Dublin. When we first got to the hotel they made us wait several hours past check in while they finished cleaning. We had to check back a few times in order to get into our room to take a nap. Some of the staff seemed to not know what they are doing. During breakfast, wait staff was not a friendly group of people. All of these things could have been over looked if it was not for how the Hotel staff handled a situation in our room. We spent the day site seeing, when we came back to the room I noticed my laptop computer was sitting in a pool of liquid on the table. When we left for the day, the laptop was on the bed. I understand it needs to be moved to make the bed. It was either placed in liquid or had liquid spilled on it. This would not have upset me until the hotel manager got involved. He went on to tell me that it was not their fault and that (in not so many words) I was screwed. I then called the hotel GM who more or less said the same thing. They never offered to pay for any damages that may have been done or even pay to have my computer checked out. I understand accidents happen but when they do, someone should be held financially liable. I will never stay there again. I may not get my money for the damages but I hope they lose far more money in revenue because of this review. If you do stay here, watch your stuff. Good luck my friends.

Dirty

The room that we were initially put in had a horrible odor that was a cross between cigarettes, air freshener and mustiness. It was also very dirty and dingy. Upon going to the front desk, I didn’t even get the issue out of my mouth before they said "it’s the smell". They moved us to another room. It too was dirty. The bed was two twin beds pushed together and it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The bathroom was disgusting. We chose not to shower rather than stepping in the bathtub. The location of the hotel is great but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
