loved the courtyard and the personnel
We stayed here for a meeting and I was so pleased with the room (yes, the door was a bit hard to open, oh well, and an elevator remained out of service). The staff was especially helpful and friendly. I loved the open balcony around the courtyard. The fresh orange water in the lobby, the coffee stations, the breakfast all were great touches. It is not in the posh part of town, but was just an easy drive to the desert botanical garden...make time for hours to browse that garden! The room was large and clean and the bed comfy.

I do like fine hotels also and do not understand the bad reviews for this hotel. I was woried after reading the reviews, but when I got there it was totally fine. The grounds were awsome and the rooms were just fine. All and all it was a great place and I think all the negative reviews are some really critical people, because I do not like staying at hotels if I do not have to but this one was very nice.
