A pleasant well run place to stay
I like this hotel. I have stayed here many times in the medium past and find on a recent return that it has maintained its charm and ambience. Restaurant and Bar is a little expensive for what they offer . Staff are really helpful . Only gripe is the electric door which in the winter opens on auto and freezes everyone at the bar which is next door to it . Bit like beer in a barn . Aprt from that ,recommended

Great hotel right on the river
The hotel was better than expected for the price and located right on Swan River across from the huge downtown park. The room was spacious and comfortable. The beds were not too firm and not too soft with warm down blankets. There was plenty of room for a roll-away bed that still left a footpath. The bathroom was bright and clean at all times. Water pressure and temp were perfect all times. The staff was very friendy and pointed us in the right direction every time we bugged them. Bikes were available for free to check out and ride to the market area and shopping malls. The only bad things were the daily cost of internet use and the price of the bar drinks. There was a business center with free internet but it was small and cramped. The price of internet in the comfort of your room was worth a few days but not every day. Also, buy your own drinks or bottles and keep them in the room for that cool down drink or pre-game before going out.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
While Perth had a good metro line, having a rental car was a must to see anything just outside the city. Parking is very expensive there but only downtown. Plus, it was a blast driving a manual stick on the opposite side of the road!

Perfect Spot
Quiet location with lovely views over River Swann.Staff most helpful even at 3 in the morning and always at hand to help throughout our stay.Rooms very comfortable and clean.Facilities very good.
