Great Location
Overall - good experience. A bit discouraged that both pools were closed early on Sunday - had upset kids.

YOURE ON YOUR OWN!
We were put in a room at the far upstairs end of this hotel. We did not realize when we made our reservation that this hotel has no elevators, so all luggage must be hand-carried by you. The section of the hotel where we stayed was dark, deserted (parking lot lights in that area were blown), and we had to return in total darkness each night and find a small door that accessed the stairs to our room. Homemade pies were advertised as being available each night, so we called to ask about the flavors and availability. We were told that the hotel restaurant was too busy to take our call. So my husband walked down to the restaurant (not a short distance) only to be told that it would take a waiter 20 minutes to walk back to the kitchen, select a piece of pie, and bring it back to us. My husband decided to wait (I really, really wanted a piece of blueberry pie). Five minutes later, someone from the restaurant returned with the pie and said "its on the house." One good moment at this hotel. The breakfast is very good, but pricey. We only ate there one morning. I would not stay there again!
Traveller's tip on dining
Be sure to ask permission to add cream to your coffee by yourself! The local food staff people in the area restaurants and fast-food chains put a tremendous amount of cream in your coffee before handing it to you. It was more like coffee-milk! it must be "the yankee way". Ha!
