Very comfortable hotel in the heart of Amsterdam.
We were in Munich for 10 days of Oktoberfest. We added 3 nights in Amsterdam. This was the best hotel that we have ever stayed at in Europe! Very comfortable bed, pillows, and room. Nice staff. 5-8 minute walk from the main train station. The hotel was right in the middle of shops and restaurants. Big room for European standards. Big and clean bathroom. Very quiet hotel. No downside to the hotel. We got a great rate for the quality on Expedia. For new travelers to Europe, do not stay in anything less than a 3 star hotel. The standards and rating systems are different than the US.
Traveller's tip
Arriving by airplane. Take the train to the main train station. 10-15 minutes. Walk slightly to your right, turn left, walk 4-5 minutes. There is your hotel. BE careful crossing any streets. Watch out for the bikes!

Very nice hotel
I was very happy with my stay at the Convent. It was in a good location and the staff was very nice. I will stay here again if I return to Amsterdam.
