Very convenient location
IBIS are good at providing the basic "universal hotel room". The Old Port IBIS in La Rochelle is very, very conveniently placed for the historic old town and all the nightlife and seafood restaurants.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If you arrive by car on Sundays in the summer, the bad news is that it’s in the pedestrian zone! The most convenient public parking is in Place de Verdun - a gentle 5/10 mins walk away. Nevertheless, would highly recommend it if all you want is somewhere clean & comfortable to lay your head.
