A comfortable weekend
This is a very nice hotel which just lacks a bit of attention to detail. We had booked an executive room and had to remind the desk several times as we lacked many of the extra amenities meant to go with this status. Also the access to the free executive lounge not up to much. However we had breakfast included which was an excellent deal, all staff were very polite and the room was very comfortable and the hotel fairly quiet for London. Also this is a great area to be based in as so convenient and feels safe.
Lots of lovely places to eat in this area including Kazan in Wilton Street and teh Ebury Wine bar ( behind the Victoria coach station) where service was very good and the food delicious.

Biggest in Victoria area
The service was good. There was Iron/Ironing board, hair dryer (for spouse), good football (Sky Sports! :) ). All available to enhance you preparations before entering London from Victoria public transport. Surprisingly, the majority of the staff were not English. I met Germans and French throughout, mostly Germanic, though a few were English. All staff spoke fluent English and the accents only highlighted the experience. The esthetics of the hotel seems stuck in 60s "Art Nouveau"... but heck I loved it! Britain is all about history! My raise hat to the staff at the hotel and recommend it to others as its well worth staying at the biggest hotel in Victoria before going out to see the sites; most of which are fairly close by! This is a good hotel overall, better than a 3 but not a 5, yet!!!
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Theres tube, bus and train all close at hand, try day passes and walk the city... Dont understimate the amount of time you need anywhere in Britain, believe me theres far more to see than you have time to spare. Plan what you want to do and stick with it. Try bus tours and the many pubs around the nation to highten your relaxation levels! Dont stress about numbers... London is 2000 years old and thus got very big! Most people are mannerly so reciprocate wherever possible!
