Good weekend vacation at this hotel
Mr friend and I booked on Expedia after a long search for a cost effective accommodation. Our experience exceeded our expectations. My friend got a room with a lakeview and was a luxury apartment whereas mine was a compact one. I wish I got a similar accomodation. But both rooms were in excellent condition. They also have a shuttle to their "main" office. Note that this is a time share managed by a company along with 6 other properties. You need to go to their Marketplace at "main" office for free coffee and snacks. I recommend this hotel very strongly.

Better place to stay than the strip
We enjoyed our suite very much. We had a great view, and it was quiet until morning, when the bathroom next door went into use. It was a little difficult to find, though.

Needs Improvement
Our experience was "interesting". We arrived to check-in and find that our reservation was not in the computer. The hotel had put it in December...not March. They did get it fixed and had a room for us. In the room, absolutely NO toilet paper, had to call and request it. It arrived 20 minutes later. In the bathroom, on of the cabinet doors was coming off the hinges. Something I would expect to be a simple maintenance fix. On the plus side, it was quiet and the surrounding area is beautiful. I might stay again if I were to go skiing at Heavenly, but not if my activities were centered in downtown South Lake Tahoe. It is not convenient to that area.
