Buyer beware
The hotel not in the best of areas, at all. One side of the street was ok and the other side i would be scared to walk in at night. The beds are superhard so not look for much comfort from them after working around all day. Pictures for the hotel are every misleading. We were there for a total of 3 night and the maid only clean our room one. I had to ask for new soap bars twice and new towels. The room was never vacuumed the whole we were there. Although we asked for a nonsmoking room you could still smell the smoke from the other rooms. I guess it is still legal to do that there. I would look for a non smoking HOTEL, and not non smoking rooms. The front desk lady was very nice. And the breakfast was super over priced 14 euro and there is a grocery store across the street. Everything at the hotel is basically in euro if you want something although they will take hungrian money but a frown on there face. The bathroom seemed newly renovated but the paint job was super bad it was like someone was in a hurry to do it because it was different colors were on the light fixtures the door the walls. It was kind of a mess it looked like someone forgot how to paint in the lines. Over all the walk to the center was a little long and not really super close to the river at all. And after walking around all day it was kind of a pain in the your know what to get back to the hotel. If I do go to budapest again I for sure would not stay at this old.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
Stay away from the "Clubs" near the hotel they are not very good at all they dont have much nightlight at all. It was over priced and there was hardly anyone there. Plus they wanted everything in Euro.

Needs Improvement
The Hotel staff is very intrusive borderline on nagging. The Hotel is located in a very sketchy part of Budapest, and unless you recieve a substantial price cut, it is not worth the discount. I would not recommend.
