looking forward to the next time
Although a bit outdated, the hotel is beautifully maintained and cleaned. The gardens are excellent and the views to die for! Breakfast is fantastic and sitting on the terrace to eat it in October is a big bonus. This is our fifth time to this hotel and once again it didn’t disappoint.
Traveller's tip on dining
within an easy walk of the hotel is Mister Alvor - an excellent Portuguese restaurant; Al Dente - the best Italian outside of Italy and Russos Bar - an excellent way to finish off the night.

Suitable for the maturer person
The hotel was clean and pleasant enough, though it seemed stuck in another time zone. However, for a quiet holiday (which is what we wanted) the hotel was more than suitable. Breakfast was the same everyday and the "hot" food just wasn’t hot. I think the food and the pool had something in common......COLD!!!
Traveller's tip on dining
Visit the quayside for the local fresh seafood dishes...recommend the prawns and clams dish from "Abubuja" restaurant. However, most restaurants serve very much the same dishes. Try "Sol et Sombre" beach restaurant just a couple of coves up the beach. Always busy during the day but a very friendly atmosphere.

Great location, great hotel & great price.
Lovely hotel, and we got a great room. The pool bar looked like fun!
