What I expected based on the reviews
The activities provided by the hotel were very low end and disappointing. The lagoon was very unappealing and due to a nearby tropical storm the weather prevented us from using the pool. One elevator was out of order and the other was unpredictable what floor it would open on. The food was okay....cafeteria style. The dinners were themed so if you happen on a Latin night and dont care for Latin you are out of luck. The bar and grill was a good back up if the dining area was closed during off meal hours. Our floor was fine as far as mildew smell but other floors were in rough shape. The hotel staff were very nice although I wish the aggressive sales reps for tours werent hovering in the lobby by the pool. Food is extremely expensive on the island which is why we spent half our stay at this hotel. I went in with low expectations based on the reviews and still a little disappointed.

You get what you pay for
The staff couldnt have been any nicer! Everyone was wonderful. The facility was very nice & in a good location - just minutes from Atlantis & Cabbage Beach. The cleanliness/maintenence of the rooms left a lot to be desired.

Value for the money
Sort of the orphan child of resorts on Paradise Island. Much less money than Atlantis, but much less resort as well. Buffets were adequate. Mixed drinks were weak. Impressive pool, friendly staff, the outdoor bar/snack bar was pretty good. Main restaurant was closed with no sign of ever opening.
