Nice hotel, bad location
The hotel is nice and clean, great breakfast, but location, location location. During our four day stay, we saw, in broad daylight on our way to Omonia Metro station two incidents of addicts shooting drugs. On the Metro ride from Victoria (Archeological Museum) to Omonia station, we got pick-pocketed (shame on us, should have known better). The building next door, on Sofokleus Street, made us feel very uncomfortable, we always walked by very quickly.

Very noisy
The hotel itself is fine, but the problem was from the nearby brothel the noise (shouting, screaming, cars and motorbikes going past) went on all night and it was impossible to sleep. The hotel was very hot, even in november, but the a/c didnt work, so we couldnt cool it down, and obviously couldnt have the windows open at night because of the noise. The area looks scruffy and run down, as does most of Athens apart from the historical centre. On the plus side, the hotel was an easy walk from all the main sights and the breakfast was lovely.

Good Location
Location of hotel is within walking distance to Monastiraki. Taxis are also quite cheap but the metro goes straight to the airport which was nice nad easy. The hotel is off the main street, but the neighborhood is not all that but there are police patrols so its safe. The rooms are tiny and narrow and so is the bathroom.
