a little smoky but overall, the trip was smokin’!
great hotel staff...extremely helpful. the room itself was surprisingly roomy for two queens, though internet was $15/night. the ghost bar amazing...& the best part about the bars/night clubs (all told, 5 in all!), is that my girlfriend & i got in free the entire time! basically, if you just wanna party, this is the hotel for you. the only downside, perhaps, is not being on the strip. however, as per another recommendation, we took a cab to the bellagio each day...& if you specify the "north" entrance, the cab fare generally ranged b/t $6.75-$8 (always interesting to see the differences for the same distance); the only downside to the hotel for me was that it was just a tinge musty/smoky, & i don’t smoke.... also, whatever you do, don’t buy a timeshare from westgate...BAD idea...apparently what bad decisions in vegas do in deed at times follow you home :( ah well, guess now i have to go back....!

The Palms
The pools are gorgeous! I would suggest not going after September as it gets a bit cold and there are not many people at the pools. Unfortunately I found the check in and check out experience not so enjoyable. The guest service agents were a bit rude. Having been a front desk agent myself, it totally caught me off guard when I was checking in and out with the Palms because I thought I at least deserved a smile from the front desk agents. Not only were the agents not friendly, the phone kept ringing which delayed my checking in and checking out because the agents had to answer it. The greeters at the front door were very friendly and helpful. They gave advice on where I should go, directions, etc. I always enjoyed coming back to the Palms at the end of the night to have a chat with them. The Little Buddha restaurant inside the Palms is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been too. Great atmosphere and amazing food!
