Friendly, but in need of renovation
Very friendly service and fantastic breakfast but rooms need a good scrub down and renovation. Also could do with air conditioning as it was very very very hot in the room which made sleeping difficult (and the weather wasnt even particularly warm!!. Count an extra 10 pounds per night taxes.

Tiny tiny room
Although the location for this hotel is very convenient (less than 5min walk from Kings Cross station) I would not go back. The room itself was absolutely tiny, it did have a double bed in it (just!) but there was virtually no floor space left for two people to move around here. Dont book if you suffer from claustrophobia!!

Cheap by London standards..but it shows!
I needed a cheap hotel close to the British Library and, in that respect, it fitted the bill. Although "cheap" by London standards, it does emphasise just how ridiculously expensive the UK in general, and London in particular, has become. My room was just big enough for a double bed, dressing table and wardrobe and not much else and was very hot - no airconditioning, although the window looked out onto a quiet area, rather than the noisy Euston Road, so it was ok to leave it open. Creaky floorboards and a shower so small, it was impossible to wash without cracking your elbows emphasised the "budget" nature of the hotel
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
OK for a one night stay.
