A well run Hotel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming to a lone female.

Lovely trip to Malta
This hotel was perfect for a 2 night stay. It is a short walk from the sea front for the ferry to Valletta and there were plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The beds were quite hard and I think would have proved quite uncomfortable if we had stayed any longer. The bathroom was a little ropey (needs refurb). The staff, as with most Maltese people, are extremely helpful and polite. The bar has a nice atmosphere and for a hotel bar is extremely cheap. We didn’t try the food so we can’t comment on that. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Victoria Hotel - four stars is about right
Pleasant slightly old fashioned hotel, conveniently located in central Sliema. Only real drawback is that it’s at the top of a fairly steep hill from the Valletta side of town which might be a bit much for some people.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
To get to this hotel, it’s way cheaper to get a public transport bus from the airport to Valletta and then the harbour ferry across to Sliema, then walk up the (steep!) hill from the ferry terminus.
