HM Jaime III Hotel

Looks are very deceiving!

I’m not a fussy person; but this hotel wasn’t managed properly if at all! When we got there, I couldn’t find a parking near by whatsoever and when I popped in to have a quick chat there were no one to be seen! I then managed to find a space after some time… At checking we were given a room, we then made our way up there I walked into nice room and as sat down to take my shoes off I noticed a couple of suitcases in the room that wasn’t ours!! Back out to reception and without much of an apology they said the room is occupied, “hello I’m glad we didn’t walk into a mating scene” then they changed our room. Take two; I walk into a horrible room that reeked of a freshly smoked cigarette, so I ‘m too tired we start to chilax a bit after a couple of hours of impossible rest as it was so noisy and the walls seemed to made of some thin plaster boards I went back to reception to see what can be done, but had no luck what so ever, I then I asked politely if there was a possibility of changing rooms and they said maybe tomorrow, back to the room to sleep but no such luck as on top of all the external noises the beds we were sleeping on were a right squeak, not the kind of beds you expect in a 4 star hotel. The next day they simply told me they forgot, and when I kindly asked if I can check out early they said I shall not get any refunds. In my personal opinion although the hotel looks lovely it definitely nothing more than a 2 star establishment as I have had far better stays at 3 stars!

Good for short stays.

My experience with this hotel was very good. It is located at the center of the city where you can find a lot of coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping malls whithin 5 minutes walking distance. On the other hand, although my room was with balcony but still couldn’t view anything but the surrounding buildings! There is a Spa and Jim but no swimming pools! Also, the hotel has one restaurant/ coffee shop only.

great value for citycentre position

this hotel is of a very good standard and staff (especially reception) are professional and helpful. the gym has only limited equipment and a pool rather than just aplunge pool would have been a good addition! we were initially given a room at the back of the hotel which you should try to avoid as it was a little dark and the view was of depressing backs of concrete buildings . however they did give us a better room on the front the next day and it was much nicer in every way.
