pool
The only thing that was negative was the size of the pool. The pool was heated but the deep end was only 4 1/2 feet deep. The pool was small more like a kids mini pool. The price was good. Lots of eating places near by. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was freindly. The free breakfast was good. The internet wasn’t working oh well.

unruly bunch
My two sons and I stayed for one night after sledding at Sylvan Hill all day and eating a late dinner. We decided we would get up early (since my two boys could not swim after 11:00pm)and use the pool. The hotel was filled with older teenagers. They were loud, rude, blasted the TV’s, slammed doors, etc. ALL NIGHT LONG! We did not get to sleep until 4:30am. We were too tired to swim and the unruly kids were standing all around the foyer so we could not get breakfast. When I contacted the front desk in the middle of the night, they wanted to know where the noise was - in the entire hotel! The manager’s excuse was the hotel was full. I have stayed at full hotels before and never have had a problem. If I had to do it over, I would have called the Wausau Police Department to handle the unruliness. My sons and I did not get what I paid for.
