What a treat!
It was cool. Staff was friendly. The burger joint across the street was tasty and decently priced. The room was very minimalist if you are into that. Close to everything worth seeing. Public transportation within walking distance. My only complain is that the photo booth isn’t free.

This was a great hotel to stay at. The location is right downtown and super close to the bus routes and Bart station. The room was smallish but perfect for what we needed. Very clean and the environmentally friendly aspect of the hotel was really appealing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were in there asking for directions and information quite often and they would spend the time to print out maps and help us as much as possible. We actually have friends going to stay there in the next couple of days on our recommendation and we would definitely go back.
Highly recommend Millennium for dinner. Fine dining Vegetarian. Everything was excellent.

We love this hotel
This was our third stay at The Good Hotel. We love the proximity to the BART station which is 2 blocks away and easy access from the airport. The Good Hotel is in an area that is going through revitalization and it’s location isn’t for everyone, but we always felt safe. The hotel is hip, the staff are great and our room was quiet. The room is equipped with an electric kettle, instant coffee, tea, iron, ironing board and a safe. We are middle aged and our adult children love this hotel too.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Easy two block access to BART, Muni and F lines. Get a Muni Map. F line travels Market Street to The Castro and the Wharf. City Hall is 5 blocks away - beautiful old architecture and rotunda. Vietnamese restaurant down street from hotel - great food and cheap. Cool Bead Shop 1/2 block.
