Fantastic Choice!!
This hotel has it all! Fantastic location, makes it so easy to use the subway to get down to Ground Zero, Statten Island Ferry then up to Central Park! The system is the same as London, its so easy to use, and found the men (women not at all) so helpful!! The major point of the stay tho...the comfort of the hotel. The staff...Maureen was fantastic and so so helpful. The room was a typical hotel room, nice size, bathroom clean kitchenette..perfect for the early morning cuppa!! The BED!!! one of the reasons to go back to New York!!! it just enfolds you! every night you are sure of a proper sleep in such an amazing bed!!! Best pancakes we had were in Planet Hollywood, with strawberries and syrup! Oh so yummy!! Stack of 3 shared between two of us...and they didnt mind at all!! Worse experience was in Rubytues, Such a rude waiter and small small small pancakes...wat a let down! Wont be going back there! Hard Rock Cafe in the evening was so so loud, after a long day walking we had no chance to chat over our day!! Food nothing fantastic either, sorry!! One thing we were so glad we did was the luxury evening cruise! This was such excellent value!! The food to die for!!! and the service was second to none!! Will positively do this again!!! Plus got a stretch limo ride home, unexpected...and rounded the night off fantastically!! Brilliant few days...will be booking again at this hotel when we go next!!!
Book the Airlink shuttle bus, when you come out of JFK customs, its just infront of you...seats for you to wait...only waited 5 minutes if that! Driver comes in and collects you, takes you past all the hustlers!! Fantastic. Return journey already booked and paid for too in this way so no worries, although did change our collection time as there didnt seem to be much leeway if anything went wrong on the road or in the terminal, so arranged earlier pickup from hotel, wasnt a problem. Take walking boots! seriously!! had to buy a pair of UGG Boots!! which i hate, but seriously saved my sanity!!!

Great for the price
Arrived by train at Penn Station and it was a short walk to the hotel. We were early but our room was ready and check in was extremely easy. It was a bit of a walk to Times Square but it helped work off the food consumed in the many Irish Pubs we visited-almost always a place for a good economical meal. As stated in previous reviews the bathroom was very small but bearable as the bedroom/siting area and kitchenette were quite roomy. The noise from the street was a little annoying but all in all the room was great for the price.
The 2 day City tour hop on hop off package was a good deal. It also included a night tour and a 2 hour Harbor Cruise and several free musuem passes.

Madison Square Gardens
Perfect location for MSG if going to a concert or game. Also within walking distance of Empire State Building. You’ll need to use the subway or take a $10 cab ride to Times Square / Broadway.
