Lovely Hotel - 15 minutes from town centre
We found the Galaxy to be a clean, modern Hotel with friendly and helpful staff. In our view it is best suited to people who want to use it as a base while they go out exploring the city and surrounding area. It is located on a busy road out of Heraklion, however, with a lot of traffic noise if you have your balcony door open. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk into the town centre - we see this as a benefit but others may not!

Best hotel in Heraklion
We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and it was very quiet and clean, modern, had very friendly staff and was in a good position - approx 15 mins walk to the town square. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was nice with a good variety to choose from. Our only grumble was the food and drinks were very pricey but this may have been due to the rubbish exchange rate

Perfection
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. I was in dire need of a week’s pampering and that is exactly what I got. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, most of whom speak excellent English. When I see 5* against an hotel I usually expect a high 3* but this lived up to the rating and then some. The pool is great, if colder than it looks! There is also a steam room and gym. Should I have occasion to return to Crete I shall certainly stay here again.
