Excellent service a must stay!
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. We have traveled around the world and this was up there with any 5 star hotel. The service was excellent from the concierge staff to the wait staff at the restaurants. You always felt like the Copa was home. I enjoyed the spa area and the massage was excellent. The Hotel has added a night club that is very hip but doesn’t get started till 11pm and keeps on rocking through the night. The pool area is great and you can grab a bite or drink anytime. We especially loved having access to the staff of drivers they have on hand at all times. This is a must...we had a driver everyday taking us to all the sightseeing spots as well as a road trip up the coast to one of the beach towns and a local restaurant!(this is also the safest way to travel)
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
BEWARE of the helicopter tour. We offered to pay for a private helicopter ride but in the end they put us with a couple that was very large and we were squished in the back seat on the "wrong"side of the helicopter and did not see one spec of the Copacabana Beach as well as barely saw the Christ at Corcavodo. We were furious and they would not give us our money back!! It was a rip off!!(the wife sat in the front seat and video taped the entire view!)fyi we arrived first!!

One of best hotels I ever stayed
A very special travel experience. The Rio scenario is wonderfull and the hotel service is marvelous. The only problem is theyr food service. The breakfast is too expensive and is worst than we expect in such hotel.

Wonderful Stay
This is by far the best hotel in Rio. The staff are very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The concierges were extremely helpful. Restaurant service was great. the waiting staff were friendly and professional. Our room was spacious with a great view of the ocean. While some may complain about its location on Copacabana Beach rather than Ipanema, I think this was better as it was in the middle between the nightlife of Lapa (Rio Scenarium is a must) and the beach of Ipanema and Leblon.
