Not exactly tasteful. But comfortable
While I don’t think Scandic hotels are particularly known for their elegance, the interior decor of the Scandic Patria surely establishes new benchmarks in gaudy tastelessness. That said, the service was very friendly and professional, the room was pretty comfortable, the location near the lake is good, breakfast was pretty decent (certainly generous). In the unlikely event that I ever go back to Lappeenranta, I’d stay at the Scandic.
