Needs Improvement
This hotel could be great, but it is NOT a 4 star hotel as advertised. The decor and furniture are dated. Housekeeping pretends to clean, but there is dust and unkempt areas everywhere. They don’t vacuum the carpets, they don’t vacuum the upholstered furniture and the free internet they boast about only works in the lobby of the hotel. They say it works in the rooms! This is all a shame, as the location is great and it could be much better than it is. I particularly believe that the charge for the room was far too high for what was offered. I’m disappointed that Hotels.com wasn’t better informed.

Great Bergen location
We booked the family room which provided a large hotel room and a separate extra bedroom. The hotel is located near the waterfront and convenient to many restaurants and to the funicular. Downside to the hotel is that its sits directly across from a big nightclub and the area for smoking is on the street. As our room overlooked the street there was a level of noise until approx 3am on the weekend.

Would be pleased to return for a longer holiday.
A pleasant hotel. Friendly. English spoken. Well situated close to the centre of town, near to the waterfront. Facilities at the hotel good with restaurant in the hotel and one below the main hotel floors on the waterfront. The condition of the hotel is slightly worn but there is a good atmosphere. Good breakfast but other meals expensive, as in Bergen as a whole.
