WELL WORTH THE VALUE!!!
The hotel staff was extremely helpful with pointing out local restaurants and sites to see. They were able to sell us tickets to the "Hop On/Hop Off" bus which tours the entire city of Budapest (this is well worth the value!). They also spoke very good English as well as did many others in Budapest at the sites we visited. The rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate sized. Our room had a view of the Danube River and Chain Bridge. Would definitely go back to Budapest and would choose this hotel again!!!

Nice hotel in good location
Hotel very clean and in good location. Close to metro station and supermarket
Cheers pub in Pest. Very cheap but a lot of smokers in there.

Art’otel Budapest
Art’otel Budapest: stayed for four nights 14 - 17th October 2009. Clean comfortable modern hotel 50 metres or so from the south bank of the Danube - on the Buda side of Budapest. The hotel is not opposite the parliment building as some sites imply - it is about 300 metres downstream - diagonally opposite. This may be of use to travellers who are using the Parliment Building as a landmark to locate the hotel. Good views to Parliment Building from our room and from the rear of the hotel the Fishermans Bastion can be seen. Breakfast good with a large selection of various cerials / juices / tea & coffee / cheeese / cold meats / bread rolls / bacon / sausage / eggs etc. Negotiate with recpetion for a good price pay in Euros or HUF. Hotel has modern facade / reception area. The older part of the hotel (described as baroque) is to the rear - this has been tastefully renovated and house the restaurent and rooms overloooking the Fishermans Bastion. Free interenet access via two computer. Hotel is well situated for travelling to all areas of Budapset by public transpost (metro / bus / tram). Trams 19 & 41 stop virtually outside the hotel (stop Halasz utca). Would stay here again
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Arrived at Fernigy airport and used the rail link (320 HUF) for a single journey per person to Nyuguti palyaudvar (Western Railway Station). Get the Metro from here line 3 to Deak Ferenc ter, change to metro line 2 and alight at Batthyany ter, then five minute walk to hotel. The controllers check for valid tickets. Buy a Budapest card 7,500 HUF for 72 hours of unliimited travel on all public tranport within the city, this also gives good discounts off major attractions.
