The good and the bad
1. Dinner are not served. 2. My room #729 was wared out and things are dirty. The non-stop pumping wakes my up. They did move me to another room that is much quite. 3. Great location. The subway is crossing from the street that leads you to almost all subways. 4. The hotel is located at the heart of the old Shanghai city. Nice to walk around in day and night.

Not impressed
Arrived at hotel and they did not have my room. Showed receipt from Expedia and they gave me a temporary "upgraded" room. The bathroom was nasty. Rust stains were formed from the tub rail down the tub, there was mold in the tub/shower area. The carpet was disgusting. The room that I was moved to was not much better. Still mold in shower, carpet was disgusting also. I asked for non-smoking room. None of rooms appeared to be non-smoking. Was awakened almost nightly by smoke in my room from others smoking. Was very offensive. The hotel in general smelled. Cannot quite pinpoint the smell. Would definately not stay here again.

Average Hotel
The location is great. The room is average. I would recommend the hotel if you won’t spend a lot of time in the hotel. The room was clean but small and very basic. There is a moldy smell in the rooms that takes a little getting used to as well. Free internet service and in-room computer are a nice plus.
Traveller's tip on shopping
Visit the "knock-off" mall that is just a few blocks from the hotel. My group of men and women made three visits!
