Wonderful Bed and Breakfast
Wonderful bed and breakfast hotel within walking distance of downtown. It was nice to be away from the tourist crush of the downtown area. The staff was very friendly. They had very good appetizers in the afternoon and you could purchase a nice glass of wine to go with them which I appreciated.

Treat yourself!
Abigails is a lovely place with lots of special touches. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and was well equipped, apart from the shower room, which was cramped and had only a shower and no bath. If Id known this before booking I might have chosen another room. The optional breakfast is cooked for you by the chef, you can see into the kitchen through a hatch, and you can have breakfast inside or out on the patio in a little garden at the front of the hotel. The staff are exceptionally attentive, polite and helpful. The desk is staffed 24 hours and they will book tours or restaurants for you. The hotel guide says they pass on the incentives, and we were very pleased with both the whale watching tour and a local French restaurant which were recommended. They have an excellent reputation locally, everyone commented on how lucky we were to be staying there when we told them our hotel. A nice touch was the serving of hors doeuvres at 5 p.m. in the lounge, little treats cooked by the chef. Dont miss them, theyre yummy! All in all, quirky and fun, and top quality to boot. Well pleased.
Check whether your room has a bath as well as a shower, if that matters to you. Dont miss the 5-6 p.m. hors doeuvres, they were really special.

Lovely hotel, great location
Breakfasts were great, good variety, well prepared. Location close to waterfront, restaurants. Did not like the sink in the room rather than in the bathroom. Would stay in higher priced room next time. Staff very friendly, great recommendations for restaurants.
