Value for Money

Hotel is located in good locality with river view and it is the best hotel of the city. I got good deal from expedia and it was value for money. Rooms are clean and in good conditions but bathtub are too small to fit. Service was excellent. I forget my valuable at the hotel and after I recognised, I called them and got back immediately.

very good location and service

stayed for over a week ,great service, the bell boys and maids are very freindly, but the reception staff need to step of there high horse there sitting on ,they can be found quite rude and unwelcomming. good morning and good evening madam could make a whole load of difference.the hotel itself is very good considering the quality of other hotels in and aroundthe location ,breakfast is very expensive and should have been included in price,so we opted to not eat there.overall very good service.

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

eatting outside the hotel is 10x cheaper and only cost around 30 rps to catch rickshaw. so well worth travelling out of hotel..

best hotel in Surat

I have lived in Surat for 6 months now so know it well. This hotel is I am sure the best hotel in Surat. It has to be said that at this level of quality there is not much competition though. But of course it does come at a price I have no doubt it is the most expensive hotel in Surat. It will seem very good value against UK prices but if you are on a budget there are other acceptable options in the city. I was on my way back from a trip home to the UK, as I live alone my home had beenstripped down and water filter drained etc., so I wanted a night of pure luxury before going home in the morning to sort things out. The Taj gave me this in Buckets. I will almost certainly have the occaisional night there again just to give me a change of scenery, as my home is on the other side of town. If budget is not a consideration I would say this is the only place to stay in Surat.

Traveller's tip on shopping

The hotel is close to Parle Point a good shopping centre in surat terms, but get an auto up Dumas road and you have Big Bazzar, Iscon mall, and Vishal all whithin a spit of each other. Also take a ride along God Dod Road for very special jewelers.
