go out for dinner
hotel and facilities are fine. Breakfast was excellent although dinner was not great - overpriced with limited choice on the menu.
go out for dinner! Hotel is comfortable and will stay their again. the breakfast was great but I will definitley head out for dinner next time - food in the bar/restaurnat was disappointing - especially at the prices they charge!

Relaxing Weekend Break
Hi just got back from a very relaxing break at the Marriot Hotel York. Lovely Hotel and surroundings. A very comfortable bed and bed linen. Breakfast was good too. Staff were very very hard working and made you feel welcome. Even though the hotel was extremley busy there was more than enough car park spaces. Public transport across the road from the hotel to go into the city centre. We will of course go back on our next visit to York.

Great break in York
We stayed for 5 nights in Sep09. The first room we were offered was small but they gave us a better room on request. They later upgraded us to a room overlooking the race course as there were to be some noisy parties - we appreciated that. Rooms are clean and tidy with good showers but old style TVs. Service was generally good, sometimes very good. Breakfasts were fine and the evening menu is good but limited choice. Too far to walk to York. Easy access out of York.
