Convenience without the noise and bustle of downtown
Pleasant hotel barely 10 minutes from Centraal Station by bus. 2 bus stops just outside the lobby. Cool theme with different paintings in every guest room. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable. More business travellers (at least when I was there). Quiet neighbourhood, offering chances to experience both local culture and the crazed touristy areas downtown. Recommended!

* Lots to see so little time *
We took the number 48 bus to the hotel and it stops right outside the hotel (buses come every 10 minutes from the city centre). Bus tickets are available from the front desk. The hotel is clean and pleasant. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was really a great meal but a little pricey. On two occassions we had dessert and coffee on the patio outside after 10pm. The staff are all very friendly, helpful & accomodating. The public swimming pool is right next door, you can see it from the window of your room and is so close it looks as if it is on the hotel grounds. Shower and room decor was modern and pleasing to the eye. The t.v. was a little old but great for checking the UK news etc. The bed was not the most comfortable but that would be the only complaint. All in all it was a lovely experience and we would return again.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
1. Avoid long queues at the Ann Frank museum, go after 7pm. 2. You can get an IAMSTERDAM CARD (valid for 72 hrs) cheaper from the Hotel recection, (tourist board charged more). 3. Buy soft drinks from the supermarket instead of using hotel fridge. 4. Shop around - We bought sportsbags from an IAMsterdam shop in town and the airport had them cheaper 5. The Red Light District is better to visit at night 5. Beware of bicycles and remember to look in both directions when trying to cross anywhere.

Nice room!!
This is the second time I have stayed here, and I think that it is very nice. We drove, and they have a secured parking garage. The hotel is about a 10 minute bus ride from Central Station. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, so I would suggest getting a 24 hour pass, which can be used for the trams also.
