Close to the Louve and Metro
This like so many Paris hotels is a small place, I put emphisis on small, located on a side street. It is very close to a major metro station and only blocks from the Louve, 2 blocks from the Seine. The staff was very freindly and helpful, language was not a barrier at this hotel. They met our every need from checking our bags before check in and after check out. Great place to stay.

My 23rd trip to Paris and my second stay at this hotel. I love it and will return!
The hotel is perfectly located right of the Rue de Rivoli, running along the right side of the Louvre. Its close to Metro stations and just a tiny walk to the loveliest bridges in Paris. Expedia gave us an amazing deal on flights and this beautiful hotel. I was in Paris this last Christmas, over Spring Break and just spent a week there this October Break (being a teacher, we get all kinds of vacations! And being a French teacher, of course I spend them all in Paris!) The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and memorable = ) Everything about the trip and our stay at the Hotel des Ducs de Bourgogne was unforgettable. Enough said! = )
October is a wonderful time to travel since no one travels then! Christmas is crowded, but no one does Christmas like Paris! The Spring and Summer trips are typical, overcrowded, warmer and even hot at times. I prefer Autumn and Winter trips. Most of the time is spent indoors, so anyone can tolerate the slight chill in the air...and all the better reason to snuggle up with your sweetheart! One must ABSOLUTELY attend a ballet performance at the Opera Garnier (Of Phantom of the Opera fame!) However, book ahead to get good tickets. Spend more time at the Musee dOrsay than the Louvre! The Impressionists on are magical. Tone up those legs and climb the tower of Notre Dame. Those gargoyles and the view of the city is so worth the lack o oxygen! = ) Take a twilight cruise down the Seine!
