Horrible Hotel to Stay

I will not recommend this hotel. The Bathroom Tub & Sink are Cloggged.....they should have fix that. The shower is working but you have to hold it by yourself. it was very Uncomfortable. When we arrived late at night they don"t have anybody on the kitchen. They gave us Water & Bread we thought it was free but they let us pay for it. The other horrible thing is the Aircondition is not working either so we have to open the door to the verandah. We paid so much money & we get all this. Please don"t ceck in in this hotel you are just wasting your money. The free breakfast is okay but not as we expected. If they insist on offering their shuttle you can say no beacsue theirs is more money & they actually let us feel that we are obligated. Good Luck!

Don"t eat in a fancy restaurant because when yuor in Italy no matter wher eyou eat you will get an authentic Italian Food.

Nice Hotel a bit outside centre of Rome- great if you like travelling on foreign public transport

The Aurora Garden Hotel is a pleasant 3 star hotel outside of the centre of Rome. The only downside is requirement to travel on buses or buses and metro this can take around an hour to reach the attractions depending on time of day. That said the advantage is the cheaper cost and it is situated in a quite area so no hustle and bustle and traffic noise. 3 day travel passes cover buses and metro trains, (day passes are also available) and are reasonably priced- buses and metros very frequent The Hotel staff Daniele, Alex and Sammy were exceedingly helpful and spoke excellent English. The Hotel has maps and instructions as to which buses to get - only advice would be check the name of your stop as it can get a bit confusing when it gets dark. There are at least 3 restaurants nearby- My recommendation would be Relax where food was excellent and reasonably priced. Most of the attractions are easily reached from metro stations with a short walk. Back to the Hotel- I would definitely stay here again it was very clean and room was pleasant and beds comfortable. a complimentary breakfast was supplied nothing too fancy but adequate to start the day. The bar was comfortable - excellent coffee espresso and sambuca does it get any better. I also had my 10 year old daughter with me the staff were good with her and she really enjoyed her stay. All in all an excellent hotel if a little out of town Definitely use expedia shuttle service as alternatives can be costly

Palatine and Romun Forum- Fabulous Colusseum View over Rome from Garibaldi Monument in Trastavere-awesome worth the up hill walk

Perfectly adequate

Not the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in however the staff were great and for the price it provided a good base for exploring Rome. A short walk to a bus stop followed by a trip on the underground took you right to the centre of Rome -all for 1 Euro

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

1 Euro paid for 75 minutes of travel on the local buses and trains well worth finding out which buses go where
