Nice hotel
The hotel was nice but breakfast was only so-so. Saturday night was noisy. Always travel with ear plugs. The elevator was not vacuumed out until Tuesday. Hotel staff very nice. Convenient to the Plaza (run the numbers off your gold card) and I35.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The restaurant next door to the hotel claims the best hamburger in KC. Well, no. Try Oklahoma Joes BBQ (closed Sunday).

on a busy street
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was much better than most continental breakfasts. My original room was facing Brookside Drive which was busy with noisy traffic all night long. At my request, I was moved to a quieter side of the hotel and then I was very happy with the rest of my stay. I would recommend this hotel but make sure you ask for a room away from the traffic.

Good enough hotel.
This hotel is nice enough, but it certainly isnt anything fancy. Then again, it isnt expensive either. The beds were comfortable, and they handled our special requests nicely. It was clean enough, but it felt and looked "lived in." I will probably use the hotel again in the future for other trips to Kansas City because of the reasonable cost and adequate accomodations.
