Excellent quality hotel
The Scandic Marski is perfectly located right on in the centre of Helsinki, only 5 minutes walk from the main rail station and airport bus and a tram stop right outside. We booked a standard twin room which was massive, almost bigger than my apartment! The room was well furnished and very modern with a spotless bathroom. It had thick double glazing and kept the noise and Helsinki cold out. The room rate was very reasonable for such a good hotel and included a generous breakfast. The staff were very helpful and checking in/out was very efficient. The only slight minus is that the restaurant can be very crowded at breakfast time but there was always enough food.

A little on the noisy side
Typical Scandic business hotel. Free wi-fi in the room. Wooden floors. Plenty of light. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was a bit noisy, and my room was at ground level facing a moderately busy street, so it was a little bit noisier than I would like.

Stock up on a good breakfast - apart from the usual warm and cold buffet selection they also include meatballs and baked beans.
