Would definitely recommend for a short trip to Bilbao
We stayed two nights here in July 09 at the start of our holiday in Northern Spain.It is easy to find and centrally placed for visiting Bilbao places of interest. The staff were very welcoming and even let us check in at 8:30 am as we arrived from the ferry. We had no problems sorting out the nearby underground car park as the staff took us to it. The room was quiet,clean and felt spacious.Original works of art decorate the hotel in keeping with the character of the city. The buffet breakfast was extensive,fresh cheeses,cold meats,fresh fruit and a wide range of local pastries. They even privided Rioja for those who wanted to start drinking early! We did not use the restaurant but did eat in the cafeteria and enjoyed our meal from the menu del dia. All the staff were friendly and helpful,most understood a little English.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
We got a map of Bilbao from the hotel and easily found our way around on foot. Another couple in the hotel reported they had used the public transport (metro and bus)and were very impressed by the efficiency and cleanliness.

Clean room but condition of the hotel needs some renovation. Breakfast room really nicely set up and served. Handy central location; internet available.

Great Hotel
Lovely Hotel. This was my 3rd trip to Bilbao and I chose this hotel as it was close to relatives and quite central. I would not hesitate to stay again. The bed was so comfortable and choice of pillows great. Only downside was that the minibar did not seem to be too cold but could not fault the hotel otherwise. Nice Cafeteria and the staff were very friendly. Stay here - no problems.

Turn left when leaving hotel and walk straight down until you come to Chicken places - you cannot miss them - yum
