A fine place to stay
We stayed in two similarly priced hotels in Barcelona and the AB Viladomat was far superior to the other. It’s located close to several metro stations so it’s easy to get to several differeny subway lines, making it easy to get around the city. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only problem was that our shower nozzle was slightly broken and they couldn’t get it fixed during the stay (the shower was still usable).

Don’t forget the business center in the basement. Just ask for a key at reception.

Would be happy to stay there again
Location of this hotel is very good, it is only 15-20 min walking to La Rambla. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable and that is exactly what we wanted for our visit in Barcelona.

Comfortable hotel near to main train station
I found this hotel very pleasant. Reception staff were generally very polite and helpful. A bit of a walk to the nearest metro (about 10 mins)but do take the effort to learn the bus routes - the 41 has stops near the hotel and takes you all the way to the beach as well as going through the centre. Not far from Barcelona Sants (bus routes 43 or 44 will stop on one of the side roads close to the hotel - do ask the bus driver about when to stop!)
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Do buy the travel cards if you are in Barcelona for more than a few days - worth the money and you don’t have the hassle of buying ticketes all the time. Barcelona was very beautiful - though a evening meal for four is never really under 40 euros! But do be careful of your belongings - you never know who is tugging at your back pocket!!!!
