would recommend very highly

Good location although kept getting caught up in one way system to reach hotel, got their own car park off of road which is great. Breakfast buffet style which was excellent. Very helpfull staff and friedly. Room so clean. Would definately go again. Keep it up.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

worth hiring a car little island an easy to navigate, half tank diesel lasted us all our 3 day stay was almost still half full on return. Recommend vine yard and underground hospital, thought lavender attraction over priced and not worth visit.

Excellent 3 star hotel

Arrived to a friendly welcome and was allocated room 142 at the back (as requested when I booked). Room spacious and well furnished, not at all dated. Modern bathroom, also spacious, with all the usual facilities and no problems with the shower. It is quiet at the back apart from around 8.00 when the nearby garage opens but this was not a problem as we were getting up then anyway. Good breakfast: help yourself to the usual cereals, fruit juices, yoghurt, fruit, toast, tea and coffee and there was hot food which included scambled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and potato thingies that were regularly replenished. If you wanted your eggs cooked differently then you just had to ask. Porridge was also available on request (we had it twice) and special diets are catered for. They coped well when busy (around 9.00) and all the staff were friendly and professional. There is parking within the hotel for around 12 vehicles although you have to be a little careful manoeuvring into a space. The hotel is close enough to the centre and the shops and restaurants can be reached within a 5 - 10 minutes walk. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant although the menu looked good and it was busy most evenings. We had a lovely holiday and I would thoroughly recommend the Best Western Royal as a base to anyone thinking of visiting Jersey, it’s a beautiful island.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Although Jersey has a perfectly fine bus service we found that having a hire car gave us freedom and flexibility. I would recommend trips to Elizabeth Castle (St Hellier), Mont Orgueil Castle (Gorey), St Catherines and the Breakwater Cafe, La Houge Bie, Samares Manor Gardens, Durrell Conservation Trust, Hamptonne Manor and the wonderful beaches/bays that are St Ouen’s and St Brelade’s (our favourite with the Wayside Cafe a good place for a meal).

Great location

Hotel is centrally located for St Helier, short walk into the centre of town. Hotel staff very helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. Hotel parking is a bit restrictive in spaces, first come first served basis, although we never had trouble parking in August.
