Stunning hotel. Stunning views.
The Hotel Algarve Casino was everything we expected. Fantastic room, a stunning sea view and the breakfast! Wow. Take the private access to the beach and you will find some lovely little bars just yards away. Just one little moan.... take your own iron. They don’t have any and won’t provide one. Other than that a perfect place to unwind. We highly recommend the veranda overlooking the pools and the beach with a chilled glass of white. Only go to the casino though if you understand portugese (the machines don’t speak English) or like a laugh trying to work out whats going on!
If you want to indulge yourself this is the place to go. Its not the cheapest you could find but worth the money when you see what you get. It is probably very busy in the summer but having been at the end of October it is far more private and peaceful and 28 degrees!

Beach doesn’t get any closer than this!!
Ok it’s not 5 star but what is in Europe!? Rooms are very comfortable and great if they come with balcony, huge salt water swimming pool is elevated with great view over beach. Let’s face it you wont be spending much time in the room with the amazing sunshine hours of this place. Direct private access to one of the biggest sandy beaches you’ve ever seen. Plenty of restaurants nearby for all meals so no need to eat hotel food which is usually disappointing. For a change of beach scenery head for Lagos and the smaller beaches like Batata which is where the cool hang out, the coves and caves are and the swimming is great. Tip: For the best of the area walk down past castle to the free No Solo Agua Beach Club for all day sun lounging, great food, ajoining fantastic restaurant and clubby evenings on the sofas and lounge beds (Ibiza Style). Nearby Sasha makes great dining too.
July for great weather not overcrowded. August for the Portuguese Beach Party month (Every Day!) at Sasha and No Solo Agua September for the hottest sunny weather after the party crowd have left!
