good value_next to train station
This hotel was a good value worth. The breakfast with additional 7.50 Pound was very good. The only thing- the are not able to fulfill dietary need: After asking three mornings they were not able to get soy milk- so no cereal for me. The maintenance was bad: The toilet did not flush properly- nobody (even after informing) repaired it- but there are luckily toilet in the basement ;-)! Free internet was good-- and the bar was good too. We did not test the restaurant. It takes about 5 to 10 min. walk to the City Center- very nice the city.

Not impressed
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. I visited with my mother and we were sent to a room in the basement, down about 4 flights of stairs. The room was therefore lacking in light and was very noisy. We barely slept. In the morning, when checking out, we told the receptionist that we were not satisfied with the noise or the distance to the room, but he was not interested and didn’t even acknowledge the comment. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone - it was vastly overpriced for the service and room we recieved!

an enjoyable stay
we found the staff very friendly and helpful the evening meals were very good and we enjoyed the buffet style breakfast very much,the room was very comfy and clean.
Chester town centre very interesting and quite unique in particular we enjoyed the Rows
