This happy traveller was very happy
Good location in pretty village about 1.5 miles from airport and 8 miles from Bergen from the nearby bus terminus (through lovely scenery). New, modern, clean and comfortable. Polite and smart staff, good breakfast buffet and pleasant surroundings. One small comment: the back of the hotel faces the road from the airport, and if you go the wrong way down the road, as I did (at midnight and tired), it takes a long time to find the main entrance, as it is not well-signposted and it is not clear that you should go down the road towards the commercial area along the other main road.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The Bergen card is very good for a short stay like mine - Norway is not cheap and every discount helps! Very handy on the buses, but best use of card by far is the Floibanen - funky journey and stunning views at the top!

for the time i spent there i could not fault the place, especially front desk staff.

Take a pan with you as there are hot plates in the room for you to cook on - but no pans!
