great potential
The Gewandhaus is quite acceptable but falls short of the perfection expected from a 4-5 star property. My particular room had a wonderful bath but the sleeping area was low-end. The bedspread, unusual for German hotels, draped onto the floor and had been stepped on repeatedly over time and was filthy. If the top and finest hotels are out of reach, this property is an excellent option.

The hotel is small enough to be user friendly but large enough to be efficient. All staff are friendly,efficient and knowledgable---all in all an enjoyable experience.

STAYED IN DRESDEN IN THE RADISSON FOR FOUR NIGHTS.VERY NICE ROOM,IN A GREAT LOCATION NEAR MANY RESTAURANTS BARS AND SIGHTS.HOTEL BAR AND RESTAURANT ALWAYS EMPTY AND NEEDS TO DO BETTER TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS.OTHERWISE A VERY NICE HOTEL WITH FRIENDLY STAFF.

ALWAYS DINE NEAR THE RADISSON WHERE POSSIBLE AS THE PRICES ARE CHEAPER AND THE PLACES ARE NOT AS CROWDED.TEX MEX RESTAURANT BESIDE RADISSON RESTAURANT POOR FOR SERVICE AND THE FOOD IS AVERAGE.VERY GOOD REATAURANTS INCLUDE,ITALIAN,INDIAN AND SOME GERMAN RESTAURANTS.
