Clean room and friendly staff

This was a return visit to the Atholl Palace. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was clean and tidy with a beautiful view down the valley. Pool area and changing rooms were clean and tidy. Food was OK but slightly overpriced for what it was. Only complaint was the bag pipe player in the room next door at 0830 but thats not the Hotels fault!

Lovely setting a bit dated

Booked this trip for my parents Ruby wedding celebrations. The hotel was very nice, although everything did not work, for example hot water in my parents room. The shower also leaked. When they had a meal they were not able to get a coffee unless they moved from the restuarant to the hall. They then asked for a coffee in the hall, but were told the bar was too busy! ’Basil!’

Beautiful setting but needs money spent on the hotel

Fabulous entrance to the hotel with beautiful gardens. We arrived in sunshine up the drive to the front door of a very luxurious looking palace. Staff were pleasant. Food was average. The lift didnt work all the time. The decor needs serious upgrading but our room had a fabulous view of the valley and river. There is loads to do here and I would return. It was so peaceful

The putting green is a challenge as every hole is on a slant. Unless you get a hole in one the ball ends up further away from you! The pitch and put course is a little walk away and the route through the woods may be muddy and slippery in wet weather
