Decent hotel

The hotel is good and has a good placement (a new metro station is right at as front door). The breakfast is OK.

Modern and reasnonable location

I was somewhat concerned about the reviews I read regarding the construction noise. Although the construction is still ongoing in May 2009 I did not hear any significant noise. The decor is modern. The location is reasonable because you are about 3 blocks from the Eduardo Monument so when you go to the Park you are at the top and have an amazing view of Lisbon which stretches out to the plaza downtown and into the sea.

Breakfast is quite plentiful at this hotel so you do not need to go out for breakfast.

Needs improvement

Hotel is not centrally located as advertised. Construction is still going on, but because we did not face the front of the hotel it did not bother us..My main complaint is the choice of channels on the television - there is nothing in english to watch, except THE NEWS...the news and the news.. I don’t speak French, Portugese or German, nor do I stay in and watch TV all day, but when I come home after a long day of touring - I would like to relax and watch a movie or ANYTHING in English, except the NEWS...
