Convenient location
Hotel located right in the centre of Gelsenkirchen 200 yards from the Hauptbahnhof so all tram connections to the Ruhr on your doorstep but in a nice area. Also in the middle of the shopping centre although shops not much to shout about!!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
We stayed there for the boxing so were there for a specific event, otherwise not much in the city. Veltins Arena was worth a visit though even though we lost to Portugal there!

Absolute bargain
Ideally located for Gelsenkirchen - free (included) travel pass was a saviour and saved us a fortune (not too much to do in GE). Rooms fine - like travelodge! Staff friendly / helpful, rooms cleaned daily.
15 euros for hotel breakfast or Cafe extra blatt, 200 metresa away, all you can eat 7 euros. Diet when you get home!

hotel is good enough if you have to stay in Gelsenkirchen
Dusseldorf near by is far better place as is every other place near by. If you need to be in gelsenkirchen then this hotel is well situated but I would not go to gelsenkirchen unless I really had too.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Spend as little time as possible in gelsenkirchen. Stay in Dusseldorf and use exellent transport to get you there and then leave. the place has nothing to offer unless you are earning money on a buissiness trip
