lied to and treat like cattle
WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE TOLD OUR BOOKED FAMILY ROOM WAS NOT AVAILABLE HOWEVER AN ADJOINING ROOM ARRANGEMENT HAD BEEN SORTED OUT. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN OK HAD THE ROOMS NOT BEEN ADJOINED BY A CORRIDOR AND THE HOTEL EXPECTED US TO ACCOMODATE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN IN AROOM BY THEMSELVES NOT ADJOINED WITH OURS!!!! WHEN WE INDICATED OUR DISPLEASURE THE HOTEL WERENT TO CONCERNED HOWEVER THEY WOULD SORT IT OUT FOR THE NEXT NIGHT. MY WIFE HAD TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH OUR TWO DAUGHTERS. THE NEXT DAY NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO RECTIFY OUR PROBLEMS AND THE SUBSTANDARD TREATMENT OF MY FAMILY CONTINUED.

Not at all impressed
Hotel staff were friendly but not generally helpful when it came to dealing with anything related to the accomodations. Our room for first night was small and cramped with no air conditioning -- a problem given that it was quite hot in London (humid and above 30C and the room even hotter). Upon request, they gave us a small fan which could only be place at the other end of the room (no wall outlets). We were picking up our daughter at Heathrow the following day and they planned to place another bed in an already overcrowded room. We demanded the room type we had originally booked which they agreed to provide. We had to move all our bags into storage (no help offered by staff) and then had to move it up to the new room (again no help from staff). The room we moved to did have an air conditioner but it did not work. We tried to call that evening for assistence but there was no answer at the desk. We called the next morning, got maintenance to check it out and they concluded it did not work but did nothing to rectify the problem. Upon checkout, they were kind enough to not charge us for the separate charge for the use of the air conditioner remote control. Overall, the location was good but the stay was totally unacceptable and they did nothing to make our situation better. I would not recommend this hotel. The price/value ratio was very poor.

Good Location
I stayed at the Days Hotel Westminster with a friend. The hotel is about five minutes walk from two tube stations and is located in a good area of London, quite close to Buckingham Palace. The room we were allocated was small with no view, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.
