Fownes Hotel

The Fownes Hotel used to be a Glove Factory in the 19th Century andit has been sympathetically converted into a 61 bedroom hotel. Ideally located in the middle of Worcester, it has its own car park and is set beside the Birmingham Canal, which runs through the centre of the city. The hotel is an ideal base to explore Cheltenham, Birmingham, the Cotswolds, Malverns and Welsh Marches which are all within an hours drive. The tourist attractions of Worcester Cathedral and the Royal Worcester Porcelain Factory are less than a ten minute walk away.

Noisy
I stayed here for only one night. As a very basic hotel it was satisfactory. The room was kept clean but the carpet is in dire need of being replaced. It was noisy for traffic, but especially from people next door who were talking so loud that they could have been talking to me! I used earplugs to get to sleep. The adjoining door perhaps needs soundproofing.
