Good location, bad hotel.
My husband and I travel a lot and have very average expectations of our accommodations. In fact, we’ve never even written a review before this experience. We can not believe how many positive reviews there are of this hotel! The only thing good about this hotel is the location. All other areas are mediocre at best. The hotel looks like it was completed 50 years ago and never been updated, maintained or repaired since. The room was poorly furnished, old and outdated. The bathroom had cracking tile, poor plumbing and fixtures. This hotel is disused as vintage and boutique but is really just old and poorly maintained. If we hadn’t prepaid for this hotel we would have walked right out.

Good Hotel, Rubbish Room
After a 20 min Taxi journey from Florence Airport we arrived at the hotel at about 23:45. The man on the desk seemed a bit bumbling, but otherwise pleasant. The deco and style of the hotel and all it’s little areas including the bar was really nice. The roof terrace was especially nice. The room however was cramped and grotty. The day staff however were especially helpful.

All of Florence is walkable, there are restaurants everywhere, and most have an English translation on their menus.

10 minutes walk from the Duomo
THe hotel is situated only a 10/15 walk from the Duomo and so it is much quieter than the centre. Very helpful staff and lovely seating areas and bar for pre-dinner drinks. Rooms a decent size. Some bits looking a bit tired now, but overall great for the price
