A lovely place to stay
The Upham is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a peaceful break. It is in a good location, close to the shops and restaurants on State Street and we felt safe walking around at night. The hotel itself is beautfully appointed. We had a small "cottage room" with a private deck area, and a short walk through a pretty garden to the main hotel. Breakfast, wine and cheese in the afternoon and oreos and milk at bedtime were an added bonus!
