Worth staying despite the ongoing upgrade great breakfast
We enjoyed our stay, as the hotel is being upgraded we would probably wait until it had more of the work completed before returning. Found the staff friendly and helpful ,food was good although a bit slow in coming.Good value for money for a short stay.
Traveller's tip on dining
As the hotel is central no shortage of places to eat out if you cant get a meal time to suit your needs .

Fully recommended!
My husband and I stayed at the Majestic Hotel Harrogate for a few days R&R after our daughters wedding. Our room was large, the bed very clean and comfortable, the bathroom excellent. We stayed for 4 nights bed and breakfast. The breakfast was eat as much as you wished and extremely good quality, the staff very helpful courteous and friendly. We ate at the famous Harrogate Bettys for tea and dinner; also at Jos Italian Restaurant across the main road and the Loch Fyne Restaurant. There are many good places to eat so lots of choice. There are plenty of places in and around the hotel to sit and relax to read or just people watch. Because the hotel is so centrally positioned we were able to visit a theatre show in York, also to visit family in Yeadon. We understand the hotel accepts dogs to stay and we only saw one dog in a corridor near the rooms. Although were not keen on the idea of dogs in the hotels we would certainly consider staying at this hotel again. Keep up the good work.
Everything you want is close by as the hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the town centre.

It will be nice when its fully refurbished
The hotel was easy to find and a nice short walk to the centre of Harrogate. We asked specifically for a refurbished room, which was very comfortable although the shelves in the cupboard had a thick layer of dust on them so a quick clean was necessary before we could unpack anything. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel bar was extremely expensive but the included buffet breakfast was lovely, a nice selection of hot and cold food.
