Perfect for us
The perfect place to stay for two people who had traveled from the U.S. and wanted a quiet, convenient, clean place to sleep. Gym’s hours are short if that’s a consideration.

definitely wasn’t disappointed
My husband and i went on a well earned break to Gothenburg and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great city break with excellent shopping and restaurants. The prices seemed very similar to the UK. On arrival at the hotel the staff were very helpful and we were very pleased with our room. The hotel itself is very central and within walking distance to the whole of the city. Breakfast served a good selection to suit all and the hotel overall had a good vibrant feel about it. Definitely one to recommend.

Caring, understanding staff
I stayed at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia (Gothenburg) for one night in July 2009. I arrived early (around 10am) having flown over from Stockholm. I tried to check in (I had a pre-paid voucher) but was politely told that I couldn’t until 2pm as the hotel was full and no rooms were prepared. I left my suitcase with the Concierge and set out for a wander round a very warm and busy city. After 2 hours I was exhausted, hot and hungry (I hadn’t slept all night due to an early flight) so I returned to the hotel and asked if there was anything available yet. The receptionist found me a prepared room and was very sympathetic to a tearful me! I immediately ordered room service and although I was told it would be 20 minutes, it arrived within 10, hot and delicious. I was very late back from the gig that I’d travelled to see and was let in by another cheerful receptionist at 2.30am Next morning my breakfast arrived within 5 minutes of ordering - very welcome. A swift efficient check out and a taxi booked, my stay was complete. I cant rate this hotel highly enough!
Traveller's tip
Plan to get to the hotel when you are supposed to! It was my fault entirely that I was so early. Order taxis from the hotel reception - they are much more expensive hailed on the street (or take a tram)
